Do your remotes work on a dish satellite receiver?
Most likely it will operate your satellite receiver, however when looking for the appropriate code in the manual or online, for your particular remote, you will need to determine the brand of your satellite receiver hardware to look up the code. The code will not necessarily be listed by your type of service (DirecTV, DishNetwork, etc.), but by who manufactured the equipment (Hughes, Philips, etc.). Look on the back of the remote that came with your system or directly on the back of the receiver to determine the name of the manufacturer.

I need a code for _________ device, and it's not listed. Can you send it to me?
All current active codes are listed. You may still do a Power Scan, and the Power scan MAY, or may not, enable your remote to work with the device in question. If not, you may drop us an email at info@hytekmfg.com and we will try to include that device in our next upgrades.

Is there any way to get this to work with my stereo or CD player? Or, if not, is there a large button universal remote that can work with an receiver or CD player in addition to the TV and VCR?
As of right now, none of our remotes are programmed to work with audio components, and we don't anticipate adding that functionality in the near future.

Where is the "MODE" button? I see it refered to in your instructions, but I don't see it on my remote.
There is no button specifically labeled "MODE". In the instructions, "MODE" refers to which device you want to program. If you wish to program your T.V., then "MODE" means hit the "T.V." button. If you are programming your VCR, hit the "VCR" button when the instructions say to hit the "MODE" button, etc.

Yes, but only our newest models do. Any remote purchased online after November 2007 should have a codes for Vizio in it. If you have a Vizio, try codes 062 and 066.
PLEASE NOTE: These codes for Vizio will ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE A NEWER Tek Partner or Big Button remote. If you have an older remote and have just bought a Vizio, you will have to purchase a new remote to make it work on your TV.

How do I perform a Power Scan to find a working code?
Please Note: Many different versions of the Tek Partner and Big Button remotes have been manufactured over the past 10 years. The codes above are for the most recent version. Many of them apply to older versions of the remotes, however a few codes do change for specific devices on each of the remotes from version to version. If you've tried all the codes above for your remote and device and none seemed to work, you can follow the instructions below to do a Power Scan, which cycles through all the codes until you find one that works for your remote and device.
USING POWER SCAN (SEARCHING)
If you cannot identify a correct Device Code for your equipment from the Device Code List, you may try the POWER SCAN method.
Manually turn on the device you wish to scan for (e.g. TV)
Perform Power Scan by pressing and holding (approximately 3 seconds)the desired DEVICE MODE button TV, VCR, CBL, DVD or SAT until the status indicator light begins to blink.
Press and release the PWR (power) button. The status indicator light will stop blinking and stay ON at this point.
Press and release slowly and patiently the blue UP ( ? ) button to scan forward through the code database. To scan backward through the code database, press and release the blue DOWN ( ? ) button. Each time you press the up or down arrow, the remote will try and turn off the device (TV, VCR etc) you originally selected.
When the device (TV,VCR etc.) responds by shutting off, press the ENTER button. This will store the code
in memory and you will see three blinks of the status indicator light to confirm the code input. Be patient, there are over 100 codes to search through.
